Royal Canin was founded in 1967 by a veterinarian who was dedicated to the development of highly nutritional and specialized food for dogs and cats, and today they are recognized as a leader in pet nutrition. They are continually developing new products and breed-specific formulae that provide optimum nutrition.

In 2002, Royal Canin built a state-of-the-art factory in Johannesburg to locally produce an optimally nutritious range of products, including Vets Choice.

The laboratory carries out all in-depth studies on the food such as analyzing proteins, fats and carbohydrates levels etc. They buy raw materials only from audited and approved suppliers, who are required to provide a proven quality analysis after extensive laboratory testing.

Royal Canin’s production facility is a demonstration of how they are wholeheartedly committed to the well-being of dogs and cats.
