Through the means of their powerful microscope and computer system, the Sperm Vision, they are the only veterinary laboratory in Africa that can evaluate bull-, horse-, and pig semen objectively.

Vriesit Laboratory is all about standardization, accuracy and precision, and these key factors are incorporated into their laboratory systems with great success. To insure that the tests are done in a standardized manner, they make use of mobile laboratories which are equipped with fridges, incubators, laptop computers and phase-contrast microscopes .

The laboratory’s mentor is Professor Albert Barth of the Western College of Veterinary Medicine of Saskatchewan, and they consult him if there is anything unclear about any aspect of semen morphology, as he is a world renowned authority on the subject.
