They were established in 1999 and received SANAS accreditation in 2007. They service well known food and beverage manufacturers. Their facilities at FaCT include Analytical, Instumental, Wet chemistry and Microbiological laboratories together with the Innovation Centre.

FaCT’s trained and experienced staff conduct audits with regard to hygiene standards at pre-determined intervals. The audit checklist is a collation of statutory as well as regulatory requirements of several large national and international organisations.

The Microbiological service laboratory conducts various microbiological tests and services that are essential to the Food & Beverage Industry. Services.

This testing is to -

  • maintain the quality of manufactured products
  • to evaluate hygiene systems
  • trouble-shooting exercises

The lab also participates in a national proficiency testing program to improve the quality of results.
