The Southern African Grain Laboratory | The Willows, Pretoria
The Southern African Grain Labortory is a recognized leader in grain analysis in Southern Africa. They apply approved International Methods and, where international methods are not available, SAGL has applied methods recognised by the industry.
Their mission is to ensure accurate results for client satisfaction and internal quality control. Their National ring tests for maize, flour and wheat serve as interlaboratory comparisons. These give participants the chance to measure themselves against similar laboratories as well as international standards as far as apparatus used is concerned and methodology followed.
Analysis of control samples are carried out on a daily basis. Reference standards are also available for methods and used to validate methodology and equipment.
