- breedTurkish Anatolian Shepherd dogs, placing them on South African farms to guard livestock in effort to reduce conflict between farmers and predators
- hand rear cubs from the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre
- partner with other cheetah conservation organizations worldwide
The captive cheetah population suffers from an unusually high incidence of the debilitating disease, gastritis. Research aims to survey the cheetah population in order to determine the existence of any dietary risk factors for gastritis and gastrointestinal disease.
From the study, they will know the critical dietary requirements for the nutritional management of gastrointestinal health in captive cheetahs..
The work and research they do is critical for the survival of cheetahs in the wild.
